Community Guidelines

Sound & Vine is a shared table. Reviews, photos, and the #soundandvineLI feed only work if they stay honest and welcoming. These Guidelines apply to everything users and winery members publish through the Services, and they form part of our Terms of Use.

Write reviews like a good guest

• Review only places you have actually visited, about your own experience.
• Honest criticism is welcome — keep it about the visit, not the people. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks on staff or other users.
• No fake, paid-without-disclosure, self-, or competitor reviews. No review swaps or rating manipulation.
• No private information about others (names of staff paired with accusations, license plates, faces of strangers without consent).

Share photos worth pouring over

• Post only photos you took or have the right to share.
• Nothing sexually explicit, gratuitously violent, or illegal. Nothing depicting dangerous behavior like drinking and driving.
• Tag #soundandvineLI honestly — photos should be from Long Island wine country, of the places they claim to show.

Wineries, hold your standard

• Publish accurate hours, prices, and event details, and keep them current.
• Review responses should be professional — thank, clarify, invite back. Never disclose a guest's personal information or retaliate.
• Market your own winery, not against your neighbors.

Never allowed

• Anything unlawful, deceptive, or infringing someone's rights.
• Spam, scams, malware, scraping, or attempts to break or overload the Services.
• Impersonating people, wineries, or Sound & Vine itself.
• Content that promotes underage drinking.

Reporting and enforcement

See something that breaks these rules? Email hello@soundvineli.com with a link or screenshot — we review reports promptly, typically within 24 hours. Depending on severity we may remove content, warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts, and where required we cooperate with law enforcement. We may update these Guidelines as the community grows.
